My beautiful counterpart Kate Bomz of Made from Cloth introduced me to Chichia London last week. It was love at first sight. The label was founded by London-based, Tanzanian-born designer Christine Mhando who so happens to be the niece of one of my favorite people, Mr. Martin Mhando, former director of the Zanzibar International Film Fesitval. Small world, yes. Chichia’s smart use of eye-catching colorful prints in natural fabrics intermixed with beautiful embellishments and intricate detailing make every piece uniquely innovative and a timeless addition to your wardobe. Hey Christine, I’ll take one of everything. Thanks! Look out for an interview with the lovely designer in the near future.
